Hawksbury Campus, Building K7 Adaptive Re-use

Rapley Consulting Engineers was engaged to provide mechanical services design for the conversion of Building K7 from learning spaces to commercial office space for WSU Administration Departments.

Rapley Consulting Engineers conducted a survey of the existing mechanical services for Building K7, and developed a proposal to re-use existing air conditioning systems to deliver comfortable office space, and a reliable air conditioning system, that also enabled WSU facilities management personnel to remotely monitor the air conditioning performance.

Crucially, Rapley Consulting engineers prepared a detailed brief of the current installation, which provided recommendations, budget estimates, and identified risks / limitations that enabled WSU projects team to make informed decisions, and ensured the project was delivered on budget.   Rapley Consulting Engineers delivered the brief within the first week, allowing the WSU to make important decisions, and allowed the project to remain on program.
